Company CePower Ltd.
The CePower Ltd. was created in spring 2002 and it is located in Wädenswil, Switzerland. The enterprise is a Biotech company and offers services within the field of cell biology.
CePower Ltd. is specialzed in serum-free cultivation of mamalian cells. Since existence of the company various cell lines, like for example the HEK-293, CHO, Vero, Sp2/0 and the Ag8 were adapted to serum-free media successfully.
In the last years the CePower GmbH could be established with its favorable price strategy as an producer of monoclonal antibodies. A lot of universities and institutes profited very strongly from these offers, from development of hybridoma cell lines to production and purification of monoclonal antibodies.
Apart from the services also research and
development projects are accomplished in co-operation with
different institute/organizations. In co-operation with the ETH Zürich
and the 3R-institute, a database
about serum free medias and cell lines was created and is now ready for
using. The main target of this databse is the reducing of consumption of
fetal bovine serum in the cell culture medias.
A successfully finished project with
Integra Biosciences was
presented as poster at the
ESACT meeting 2005 in Harrogate.
